AND also the time traveller's wife. i feel the itch to read books especially when i feel like i want to be alone and that is so very rare. i dont think i have the strength to read Lolita, it seems most books are one hit wonder to me and i've never thought abt re-reading a lot of them. the magic's that's there the first time seems to disappear at the second read. since i hardly have time i read books because it's a must read to have smart conversations in 2008 (read: singa dalam salji). it's a pretentious activity but it gets me by. i chanced upon a book at the nus lib because i was looking for singa dalam salji to prepare myself. for singapore fiction it is not that bad! i mean the writer actually admits he is overly excited in his writing with exaggerated metaphors showing the eagerness of an amateur pretentious writer. he wrote abt his experiences falling in love with studying at oxford. at least he doesnt try to insert the whole orientalist singa in his book. not literal at all! june san! omg. finally we have something to talk abt books. the problem of re-reading. do you know what books i re-read? books that i read when i am 14 i think. and yeah the devil-wears prada-esque kinda books.
